SnagIt Screen Capture Plugin automatically captures screen images and embeds it into the blog post. The plugin is simple with a single window options that you can use. Around 8 capture modes are provided which you can use based on your choice. You can capture a window, menu, clipboard etc. using this plugin. The screen capture is saved in a number of popular image formats such as jpg, bmp an png. The color depth of the image can also be altered. You can also capture the cursor with the image, if you like. As soon as you capture the image it is automatically saved to the desired folder and it is included in your blog post. It is as simple as that, even a novice user can use it. It works very well with all the latest versions of Windows Live Writer working on Windows XP or Windows Vista and the only pre requisite before using this plugin is that you must have SnagIt Screen capture software from Techsmith Corporation, as this plugin is based on that software.
